Abstract:

Cox’s Bazar transcends any other tourist spots in Bangladesh in terms of the range of possibilities relating to its natural and geographical profile, infrastructural facilities, various utility services and scope for the development of communication network. This article analyzed the economic and socio-cultural impacts of the development of tourism at Cox’s Bazar. An impact-action model has been developed on the basis of analysis of the findings to synthesize the economic and socio-cultural impacts and recommended action plans for future policy formulation.
